IMPROVE CONFIDENCE AND SKILLS IN OCCATIONS AND CIVILITIES

Target level: B1-B2
Aim and format:

To improve confidence and skills in small talk and polite civilities in English at meetings, both online and in person.

The course consists of three online meetings (á 90 min/session) by MsTeams and three distance tasks, course length in total 6 x 90 min. 

Contents

• Practice of warm-up and cool down conversation around meetings
• Making smooth transition from one topic to another
• Identifying suitable topics
• Cultural differences between English and Finnish small talk
• Commenting on international events
• Remarking on life events such as illness, death, birth, marriage etc.

Group size: 1-6 participants 

Price: 948 € + VAT,  including a net based placement test, tuition, material and reporting.
